Bostu Boerboels was founded by Thys and Chereen Von Solms in the Boland region of South Africa, with a single purpose: to breed the world's finest Boerboels — dogs that embody the breed's strength, loyalty, and temperament in equal measure.
What began as a family passion has grown into the largest Boerboel kennel in the world, with more than 1,200 dogs placed in homes across South Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the United States, and beyond. Every breeding pair is selected for genetic lineage, conformation to the SA Boerboel Breeders Society standard, temperament, and verified health clearances.
The kennel holds full SA Stamboek registration and was awarded Platinum status — the programme's highest tier — in recognition of superior breeding data, accuracy, and health management. In 2022, Bostu was named Dog Stud of the Year at the Standard Bank National Elite Awards.
Presented in collaboration with the South African Stud Book, the Standard Bank – Telwiedré Voere National Awards recognise breeders who consistently uphold rigorous standards in herd management and genetic improvement.
